JUST A BAND (IN PRODUCTION) - writer/producer

In Nairobi, Kenya, four twentysomethings drop out of university to form an art collective, creating a counter narrative to the lives expected of them. Little did they know they would end up becoming one of Kenya’s top bands and ride a wave of international acclaim.

How do they deal with it? They go to Space.

Borrowing on a post-modern cultural mishmash of Sun Ra, Kung Fu movies, Hip Hop and a thousand other bits of detritus, “Just A Band” paints a truer picture of urban Africa than you can imagine.
